AHS 1,439 #1 Posted February 8, 2020 my problems with the command 12 (312-8) and water in my carb; I’m thinking about mounting my tall shute on my 414-8... has anyone done this without major problems (like the carb getting water in it)? it seems as though the 414 air filter cover; I can see the air filter with the cover on it, on top and bottom. Has anyone ever snowblowed with a 414? What are the results?
troutbum70 857 #2 Posted February 8, 2020 That is one of the nice features on the 417, in the winter the air cleaner can be turned so as pulling warm air from around engine. So a lot less likely to pick up things like blowing snow. I know does not answer your question sorry, but I am sure someone will.
c-series don 8,663 #3 Posted February 8, 2020 Is that missing a cover for the top of the carburetor? I’m not too familiar with that series Kohler.
pfrederi 17,663 #4 Posted February 8, 2020 You have all the shroud Magnums have. My suggestion, take off the plastic shroud and just put on an old school A/C cover. My Electro 16 works well with the old style A/C cover no freeze ups. Fits on a magnum no problem see it on a M-14

The 414-8 with a long shute snowblower!! Watch out @ebinmaine for flying snow from my 414!!👍😁💪
AHS 1,439 #6 Posted February 8, 2020 @ebinmaine on that blue horse, the one with the stack. You don’t have any braces on that do you? The stack.
