These are cold starts -15 Celsius, the first video first start after getting the generator home, it has a bad miss. Second video is after valve adjustments, big difference.

 

The Petter PJ engine will run on a diet of waste restaurant oil and 15 kw generator will be put to work heating coils to generate steam for essential oil extraction.

cold weather starts are tough enough, having the right oil like a 5-30 synthetic will flow much quicker and change over easier, cutting down on  a smokey start. as i said, the reflector bulb heating, along with a battery tender , makes for near instant starts . those old diesels are a real beast for long life and wear, giving them any advantage  and they will live on , pete
