Any steamers around here?

As I've mentioned a few times in posts before, both an Electro 12 and a small Empire steam engine were the pieces that started me into old iron when I was very young..

Just picked this little beauty up last week, an all-original Empire B-31 built in 1921.

Currently in the process of shining the old girl up.. really nice shape for 99 years old.

Anyone have a little steamer to share stories of?

  That's a nice little engine, Stepney. :handgestures-thumbup:

 

  My late father had two little steamers. One similar to yours which he built. The other was a radial engine my grandfather built. The later was made out of cartridge cases, tin cans and anything else he had lying around. All done on the kitchen table.

 

  Unfortunately I've no photo's and the engines are now in Australia with my brother-in-law. You can run them on compressed air.

Our steam show has a giant display of little steam engines running on compressed air for safety. Really something to look at! :banana-jumprope:

I have them occasionally, but the people around me usually are not very impressed.:hide::ROTF:
