Oldskool 6,644 #51 Posted January 28, 2020 I'm looking for input. The spindles are 1". (1) I can either make 1" bushing for the front rims (2) I can go above and beyond and go for a 5 lug/hug conversion. I think I know the answer

Thanks for the idea. My neighbor hasn't noticed his grill missing yet. How about your?
Oldskool 6,644 #53 Posted January 28, 2020 (edited) Thanks @Herder and you are welcome. Luckily I snagged mine at a friends junk yard. Just remind your neighbor you don't need a lid to grill a burger LOL. They are a bit thin but they play the part well. I may add some small round rod on the edge to stiffen them up Edited January 29, 2020 by Oldskool

Oldskool 6,644 #56 Posted January 29, 2020 Not much to update today. Hooked up the throttle and choke cable. Put the belts on and messed around with the belt guard. The list is getting shorter thou. Looks like maybe a ride on the weekend if everything goes right
Pullstart 62,881 #57 Posted January 30, 2020 I’m late to the game, but nice find! I love the fenders! I’d say bushings in the wheels are more fitting for the tractor, but that’s your decision to make

Oldskool 6,644 #62 Posted January 31, 2020 @ebinmaine Video? What's that? Is that one of those talky picture things? I'm doing good to be on here in text form. I don't know if I can get a video. I will have to check with tech support (the wife).

Inform her that due to the fact that you have a duty to make videos available, she has a duty to make videos. That and painting is why Trina hangs around here. There's other reasons too I guess. She's nice enough and all.

Not sure what to do That was exactly why I started a YouTube channel for my own reasons. if you have a Google account you already have a YouTube channel. You just need to sign in and set it up. Then figure out how to download things. It's all pretty easy stuff with a short learning curve.

Oldskool 6,644 #70 Posted January 31, 2020 (edited) Thank you. It still has a few more things that need to get done. Biggest thing is an air cleaner. I don't have much space for it. It has been a brain buster. Edited January 31, 2020 by Oldskool
Stormin 9,981 #71 Posted February 2, 2020 How much space is between carb and front of bonnet/hood? Is it possible to mount the filter somewhere with a tube to the carb?
ebinmaine 67,498 #72 Posted February 2, 2020 When I put the Briggs on Trina's 657 I made up a pipe extension to get the air cleaner out from under the hood on the side.
