wheelwhores 107 #1 Posted January 20, 2020 I came across a local ad today on Facebook marketplace with the tractor branded as workhorse The owner claims that this line of tractors was made or manufactured by wheel horse. Looking at the tractor and some of the features like tail lights fenders body style etc The limited pictures do look an awful lot like an 80s vintage wheel horse I'm wondering what everyone in the form knows about this type of tractor and whether or not they are the same? Sparky-(Admin) 21,300 #4 Posted January 20, 2020 The Workhorse GT1100 and GT1600 are essentially a 300 series machine. The Workhorse GT1800 is along the same lines as a 417Hydro. Lee1977 6,642 #8 Posted January 20, 2020 Some of the 312-8 had 1" axles. My 312-8 has 1" axles not sure of the year model as ever thing was painted over or removed. My hood had the V metal brace, but I think it came from a different tractor. It was bent up several places and had a professional paint job. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

c-series don 8,663 #10 Posted January 20, 2020 I have a Work Horse GT-1800 that I bought new in 1984. Some people knock the Briggs engine but I can tell you that mine has literally thousands of hours on it and it still runs fine. I’ve never done anything to it other than change the oil often. And yes 1 1/8” axels. This tractor is a Wheel Horse through and through. Here’s mine, I gave it a well deserved restoration two years ago. 1 6 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
