Nice neat job looks great. Big difference in the weight of the snow compared to last storm.Knowing your yard,. ideal for the placement of snow piles. Only pic I have after snow blowing is the 520 sitting in the sun and wiping it down before storage until next time. What a TEAM.

I was thinking the same thing Mike.

When you stab the clutch pedal Eric, and take the load off the motor, it sounds like its over 3600... maybe it’s just because we are hearing it thru a video

You may both be right....

I've adjusted the dam thing down twice now.

That carb does suck some air.

I'll get it swapped out with the one @JCM Jim and I rebuilt.

Then adjust again.

Should there be a lock washer or star or something on that high speed gate bolt?

OK EB I watched the video's and now I am certain.  You need a snow thrower added to your collection.  It snows for eight months out of the year in Maine.

Hahahahahaha....

Trina and I both got a good chuckle out of that.

Not quite 8.

We have had snow in 7 continuous months, October through April.

Not 8 though.. THAT is too much winter.

Is it a carburetor issue or is it a governor issue? I don't think the governor should ever allow it that high. I watched a few videos and I noticed it revving up that high and it actually made me cringe

By the way, I like the tri-tone paint job on your house! :)

As much as I dislike the cold, I'd love the chance to plow snow at least once. If we get any at all, its once every 5 years or so, and it isn't much. If I ever find a plow I'll buy it just for the off chance that I can ever play around with it.

Issue is certainly both....

This carb has a very loose throttle shaft at the top.

The governor works ok I think ...

It is set correctly on its own.

The high speed stop is set too high.

I've tried to correct it twice. I did get it down some but not enough.

Last I checked the engine varies RPM from 3550 to about 3700.

Sounds like it's gone higher again.

House in process of getting a new coat of orange paint.

Old yucky color is the reddish.

White is primer.

Hoping to be done by May or June.

Have to wait a couple months for warmer weather to start again.

I go along with a blower. If you keep getting that kind of snow the banks will be more than the horse and plow can deal with.Have fun though!

We keep 2 walk behinds on hand.

One has bit the big bullet.

We'll be replacing that one this coming week.

If we'd had a little more snow or if it was wet muck we would have to clear the yard with the snowblowers first, then plow.

I feel a little guilty as I have never tried the single stage WH blower my uncle gave me.    Now that I am getting more fully retired and less semi retired. i just might get that one going. ...   So many machines, so little time. We have not had much snow as of yet.

I never worried about it with a bobcat skid steer around the place.
