bc.gold 3,403 #26 Posted January 24, 2020 (edited) Replaced the blower motor on our 04 Ram, ten minute job. One blade on the squirrel cage had broken off which caused the fan to be unbalanced. A new blower motor $170.00 plus tax would have been close to the 200 mark, since the truck is such a rust bucket we opted for an auto wrecker special at $40.00. We've also lost the two lower fan speeds, apparently its not the resistor that burns out but the wire plug that connects to it that faults from over heating when the blower motor goes south.
