CCW 1,292 #1 Posted January 15, 2020 (edited) A while back I posted a photo of some front weight that I added to my 312-8. After buying my welder welded them to an extra mule drive that I removed the pulleys from. Simple removal and the 76 pounds stops the wheelie action. Pullstart 62,800 #2 Posted January 15, 2020 What’s hanging off the back to wheelie that machine? Any excuse to weld and play with tractors is a good excuse!
CCW 1,292 #3 Posted January 16, 2020 Nothing off the back. Letting out the clutch out too fast causes the front end to jump. I am gentle on the clutch but occasionally the foot comes up too quickly causing the the tractor to jump, resulting in a wrenched back on my part. Now the clutch could be popped in third and the front end barely rises. With the mule drive I can drop the weight off quickly to attached the plow. Currently I do not cut the grass with it. I have another mule drive for the mower deck.
BOB ELLISON 2,981 #4 Posted January 16, 2020 I can sympathize with you on that. I had a 314-8 that would lift the front end of the ground if I let off the clutch to fast in 1st gear. I didn't like that at all. That's why I really like the hydro.
