Remove the guard by loosening two bolts.  Remove the assembly bolts working from the top, it is extremely simple, but messy if the chain and bearing had proper lubrication.

ok, thanks for info, I wanted to check first, so far everything I do on this tractor is not easy, no space to work at all.

1996 520h, series 690......,with 79361 2 stage 44 inch blower, I had the 3 bearings changed on blower in November by the dealer, when it came back I used twice, the third time the chain broke.

I phoned the dealer, he said he did not do work on the chain he was not responsible.

I tried to install number 40 masterlink, that did not work it broke again

so I looked further I noticed the tension block was worn out, and chain was rubbing on steel bracket, that's probably why it broke

so I ordered a new chain, and block.

now, I am looking in the 4 inch opening on top there's now way I can remove the block bolts there's no room to take them out.I cant remove the top idler sprocket with out removing the pto assembly.

I am wondering, by removing the tension block bracket ,the bracket and tension block should come out the bottom.
