Remove the guard by loosening two bolts. Remove the assembly bolts working from the top, it is extremely simple, but messy if the chain and bearing had proper lubrication. Denis L Goulet 17 #5 Posted January 14, 2020 1996 520h, series 690......,with 79361 2 stage 44 inch blower, I had the 3 bearings changed on blower in November by the dealer, when it came back I used twice, the third time the chain broke. I phoned the dealer, he said he did not do work on the chain he was not responsible. I tried to install number 40 masterlink, that did not work it broke again so I looked further I noticed the tension block was worn out, and chain was rubbing on steel bracket, that's probably why it broke so I ordered a new chain, and block. now, I am looking in the 4 inch opening on top there's now way I can remove the block bolts there's no room to take them out.I cant remove the top idler sprocket with out removing the pto assembly. I am wondering, by removing the tension block bracket ,the bracket and tension block should come out the bottom.
