Ya that isn't coming off without a fight.

Try removing the bottom piece off the shaft. That tends to come off much easier than the steering wheel. Then you can at least work on it off the tractor. Mother nature welds those steering wheels on and she's good so if you can do the repairs with the shaft still attached, then...

A 20 ton press to push it out or cut it and drill it out like Jim suggests . Best to ruin and replace a 3/4 rod then damage the hub on that thing. The factory correct police can't give you a citation for replacing a 3/4 rod because they'd never notice a thing.

I ended up drilling mine out. Small bit to larger....patient, repetitive, two broken bits... then success...

Ya the broken drill bits is probably whats going to happen here too

@wallfish Good idea about the 3/4" shaft route. I will be giving it a try again today. Thank you so much for the diagram and pics of the tool box. I'm gonna grab some poster board today and make my template for it. Hope to have those fenders this afternoon. I will post some pics of those later

I've had a couple steering wheels that refused to give up.     I ended up cutting the shaft to replace the bushing then  reconnected with a rigid shaft connector.

Not a purist fix, but it works without risking damage to the wheel and makes it easy to replace the next bushing.

Hey thanks for posting that Ed. I've been meaning to order one or two for Colossus.

That's not a bad idea. The resin on the wheel is chipped, cracked, split, and missing chunks so I have to have it off the shaft to fix or replace.

Here's the one I use. It's for keyed shaft but works the same for less than $10

No apology necessary there!!

We'd like to see what you have to do with that one too.

Please feel free to start a thread in the Other Brands section.

It does...

I'd love to have a Speedex...

And a Power King. I may be slightly envious of @AHS.

B)

Not likely a project I'd get to until NEXT winter though.

Trina and I have quite a few lined up already not to mention home/yard stuff.....

There's a cable which goes from the lift to the rear for raising and lowering the rear hitch

Looks like this
