Ed Kennell 38,022 #1 Posted January 7, 2020 What was forecast to be a 3/4" accumulation on grassy surfaces looks like it may add up to our first plowable snow. 8 1
stevasaurus 22,710 #2 Posted January 7, 2020 We,ve had 5 snows so far. I got to move 2 out of 3 before they melted. I really did not have to move any so far. One difference this year, compared to the last 3, is the temp after a snow has risen into the 40's...instead of dropping below 10 degrees. So far.!
WVHillbilly520H 10,373 #3 Posted January 7, 2020 (edited) We had 3-4" today and I plowed with the 315-8 and 42" blade... I have to say loaded and steel weights on the "Deestone" AGs no traction issues and the Kohler never skipped a beat or ran out of power but JMO I'm not a fan of clutching shifting gears and lifting the blade wit my left arm... I so much prefer my Onan powered hydro trans hydraulic lift 520s. Edited January 7, 2020 by WVHillbilly520H 7

I dropped a blade tonight as soon as I got home. I'm honestly not sure that was any faster than shoveling, but it was a LOT more fun. Once I get a few more rounds and get a pattern worked out I'll get faster. This was my first time running any sort of plow. 4
Ed Kennell 38,022 #6 Posted January 8, 2020 Wow, that was fun. Two hours of seat time to clear mine and four neighbors driveways and a path to my deer stand. The 520 also sounded happy and a warm 70F in the cab. 3

Tractorhead 9,064 #8 Posted January 8, 2020 (edited) I‘m envious... just a lightly shugared floor, but was melted in 1/2 h. still waiting until now for some snow, to try first time my reworked Hydraulic Angled blade. Here it seems we didn‘t get this year any Snow. That‘s not fair, i wanna go Play.. Edited January 8, 2020 by Tractorhead

I must need some more of this age thing, because Old Red and I were out with mittens, a hat, and wet pants for about 90 minutes last night plowing and playing. 1
