I'm normally a fan of the 70s hood and Trina of the 60s square hood.

Last night I played with trying to find spot welds on the top skin of the hood.  It’s not that easy every time!  I found plenty of spots they aren’t!  Switching to a wire wheel on the disc grinder made it a little easier to strip paint and not metal, but it was still a challenge.  Finally I flipped the hood over and gave the really rusty areas a good scuff.  They popped pretty well and I will try to measure them and drill from the other side.  I also thought about maybe drilling a small pilot straight through that would be easy to weld shut.
