Razorback 1,035 #6 Posted January 2, 2020 “Batch 1 of Wheel Horse Rye was released in December 2019 and was bottled at 101 proof.” They put out their first batch recently..... I wish I lived closer, I would go find them. Currently working on a bottle of Maker’s Mark Wood Finishing Series..... 5

SylvanLakeWH 25,490 #11 Posted January 3, 2020 Very cool, but... that label color scheme is bordering on blasphemous for anything labeled Wheel Horse... I’m a beer guy but still (pardon the intended pun), gotta get me a bottle for the shelf... 1

stevasaurus 22,706 #22 Posted January 3, 2020 Imagine my joy to see this thread?? Rye Whiskey is the base to Rock & Rye and a little shot glass of R&R to cut the whiskey sounds like the perfect cocktail on any afternoon. Actually, Rye Whiskey and Ginger Ale on ice is hard to beat in the summer. Think I will call Binnies and see if they can stock some. Thanks for the heads up Lane 1

WHX?? 48,766 #24 Posted January 3, 2020 (edited) Correct Ed but lets use the correct wagon for the theme of the thread... What's that other fav Willie song @JCM ? Edited January 3, 2020 by WHX24 2
JCM 9,130 #25 Posted January 3, 2020 (edited) I need some more info here, the song Whiskey River is way better on the original record, much faster and more upbeat . The name of his nylon string classical guitar was called Trigger , the one that was used in that video. Notice the extra hole he made with his picking hand from many years of playing next to the sound hole in the body of the guitar.
