Redrider01 5 #1 Posted December 31, 2019 I did a few searches and dont see a post on the weight of the two stage 300 series snowblower model #79361. Does anyone know the actual weight?
SPINJIM 1,981 #2 Posted December 31, 2019 I searched my two owners manuals and four advertising brochures for the 2-stage weight, and didn't find the spec. I do know that it requires TWO lift-assist springs, one on the front of the tractor and one under the tractor on the lift leaver. And even then, it tests the limit of my electric lift actuator on my 417-8. I would not want to try to lift it with a manual lift lever. I keep my #79361 on a tractor year round so that I don't have to struggle with removing and remounting it. Hopefully, someone else can come up with an exact weight. JCM 9,130 #3 Posted December 31, 2019 I agree with @SPINJIM on no info regarding attachment weights other than the 60'' mower deck at 322 lbs and a bucket loader at 475 lbs. There were also 2 manufacturers of the 2 stage blower that I am aware of and someone please correct me if I am wrong , Berco and the more common from what I have seen is the Toro 2 stage, and I am not even sure if they did in fact build that or just have their name on it. @SPINJIM without getting to far off topic, how does the electric lift perform during a good size snow storm and also how does the 417-8 steer and overall handle compared to a 520. Thanks

I put tri-ribs on the front, and the 417-8 handles fine. I would prefer a hydro lift over the electric, but I have to work with what I have. The electric lift is slow, and still seems to strain a little, even with two lift assist springs. The 17hp Kohler does a great job of running the 2-stage. I'm working on a restoration of a 520H, and may switch the snowblower to it, but it won't be ready for this winter. Last winter, we only had some light snows less than a foot deep, and the blower handled it fine. I hope this winter is as mild. Happy New Year, Jim
