I've towed my trailer with it with about a ton or so weight on it with no problems. I can hardly tell it's there! I've also towed cars on my tow dolly with it and it does that very well also. :auto-driving:

Great trucks the Tundra's all in all .. have a 2010 with the 4.6L with 127k on it.

Cant beat the Double Cab setup with the 6.5 foot bed along with the 8,000 lb plus tow capacity.

Great for medium duty towing and makes it real easy for Horse collectin' :-).

Looks like Kevin and I started a truck buying spree this past week. I never was much of a Toyota guy, but I must say that is a nice looking rig, and the right color is an added bonus

Unfortunately the GMC was having a few issues and I was not interested in dealing with them (and I had no warranty to fall back on). The biggest was the tranny was acting up. Research on the web showed that the 14, 15 and 16 1/2 ton GM trucks have all sorts of issues and I was starting to have them. Mine was a 2015.

So I ditched it before it became a money pit.

I had GM trucks before and most of them were rust buckets. The last one had rusted brake lines and when I had to stop quickly one time the brake pedal went to the floor and brake fluid was all over the rear axle! The other lines looked like they were about to go so I unloaded the truck. The one I had before that was a GMC and after sitting for a couple years I went to move it and no brakes! Fluid was all over the firewall. Not only that but the rear shock mount broke off from rust and the body was shot! This Tundra has new looking brake lines and no rust!

Sounds like that's more an issue of location than the truck itself!

I’m picking this one up this week. 2016 Tundra TRD Off-road package in Wheel Horse Red !!

It’s a Toyota certified truck so it comes with a 7 year 100,000 mile drivetrain warrantee that starts the day I pick it up and a 12 month bumper to bumper warrantee.
Dealer installed 4 brand new Hankook tires, brakes and a new battery so I should be good to go for along time.
Also this dealer offers free oil changes for as long as I own it and free batteries as long as I own it :handgestures-thumbupright:

I like that truck! I especially like Toyota trucks because they're built in Texas. What kind of mileage does it get? I've known a few people who had them, probably 2010-14ish and they got 12-14. I figure they get better than that now.

I hope there hasn't been a truck buying trend set. There's a little 85 Toyota SR5 extra cab down the road from me that hasn't moved in probably 3 years the lady said that her sister was ready to sell it.. I don't need it.. I don't need it...

Rated at 14 city and 18 highway, definitely not mileage to brag about but my truck is not my daily driver. I bomb back and forth to work in a Nissan Altima getting me 30MPG.

You won't need the warranty. I was looking at Tundra's but they were about $10,000 more than GM. Plus not fond of the newer interior and the crappy seat that bother my back. Love my 2013 GMC with the Lazy-boy leather:)  Ford? Don't make me laugh. We got Fords at work. Complete toilets.

I'm not able to afford a truck at this point in my life, but my dad has a 2013 Tundra that he lets me borrow to go on tractor runs and haul stuff to shows. I fill my trailer with 6 garden tractors and it handles it with ease! Rides pretty nice too for a truck!

That sounds a real good offer.

Especial with enhanced Warranty and the ontop offers, that makes some things a lot cheaper over the lifetime..

I wish you allway‘s safe rides !
