Wheel horse 753 or 854?

Recommended Posts

Wheelhorsenut#1

I just bought this wheel horse and I am having trouble figuring out what model it is. It has a k161 (7hp) motor and a 3 spoke steering wheel and a key switch with a push button which is what led me to think it’s possibly a 753 but it has the 854 style of front axle and steering (double steering arm steering and the front axle isn’t a wish bone style).

any help is appreciated

30148 looks like a 1963 serial number.

Definitely a 753. 63's used the flat steering wheel and the only models that still used the previous style front axle were the lawn rangers and 603. :)

just to add my :twocents-twocents:  the 854 didn't have the split key, at least mine doesn't :ychain:
