Storing Mower Deck

First, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!  Now onto my question:  How do you store your mower decks when not on the tractor?  I have a 42” deck that I rarely put on my tractor.  I have limited storage space and am thinking about how to hang it?  These decks are not light, and are awkward to move around...  What have you folks done?  Danny

just have to be creative, I have around a dozen or so old decks I should just sell off but I hide a few in the basement, stack a few in the shed against the wall,  I have a plan to some day build a rack.

Tipped against wall with rope tied from wall to top of deck to keep from falling...

Thanks guys, really appreciate the input.  I am considering using pulleys to pull it off the floor and hang against a wall.  I may be overthinking this problem... Danny

Right now my one of my decks is stored under my truck.  I'll roll it out if I move the truck. It won't be moved much as it's in need of a new clutch. Only lasted 40 years.

Deck just leans against the shed wall in front of the horse. Never moves. If anything I might screw a wood block to the shed floor to prevent it from slipping out.

I stand against the wall and put a block of wood under to raise the wheels off the ground (keeps it from rolling out and down).

As my papa told me. Us the KISS method of design. Keep it simple stupid. Of course as a tech ed teacher I could never us the word stupid. Had to change it to silly.

OK guys, I could not leave well enough alone.  And I got tired of tripping over the deck...  So I fabbed  up a hanger that allows me to hoist the deck off the floor and hang vertical.  It is a simple design and is made of scraps of 2x4 and 2x6.   I have only lifted it with a come-a-long, but am working on a pulley system.  It’s ugly, but it works!  Disregard the condition of the deck...  One day I will get around to restoring it...Danny
