Pullstart 62,795 #1 Posted December 19, 2019 The sun looks so huge tonight... I just realized that we’re in the same time zone as a place such as Maine! It’s 5 o clock and it’s probably pitch dark huh @ebinmaine?

ebinmaine 67,277 #6 Posted December 19, 2019 We get about 9.5 hours usable daylight this time of year. And it's WEAK. I take a vitamin D3 supplement all year anyways but it's that much more important now.

Country living, there is no substitute......I was born in Toronto at 2 years old we moved out of the city.....any time I go to Toronto now there better be double bubble on my wage or I dont take the job heheheheh, the city is for slickers not hay chompin, moon shinen, dirty necks like me. Plus the country women are real not funny. Especially when that song comes on she loves my Taaacktore hehehehehe. 1

Toronto does seem to be a great place though ( was there two times ) I'm also partial to country / rural - I've lived in suburbs my entire life with a fair amount of property and privacy had well water entire life ... before we purchased our current house said no more well water ... house not only has well water - but has septic also - and on a private road we share with two other homes ... oh well ( strike 1 - 2 - 3 - you're out ! lol ) having said that ... I've recently become more accommodating of city life made a number of trips to NYC during past 5 years - good times I appreciate being able to walk to places - no car required ... something to think about as I get older ... 8ntruck 6,991 #19 Posted December 20, 2019 I've got a nice sunset picture I took in Finland a while back. It is taken facing north at about 11pm a few days from the summer solstice. This is one of those non digital pictures. It is packed away in a safe spot - so safe, I can't lay my hands on it at the moment.

Can't beat it getting dark at 9 PM. I just came back from an old car salvage yard.. Got there at 5, had to pull all of the trim off of an 80s Dodge pickup to put on one of mine and had to pull the heater box from a 70s Dodge truck to go in my buddy's 78 Little Red Express since it caught on fire about a month ago.. Needless to say, most of the work was done in the dark! And to top it all off, it was cold. 1 hour ago, tom2p said: said no more well water If you don't have well water, what do you drink? City supplied water? Yuck!

Yes when age and getting around becomes a factor Id have to agree with you....But I think id just find a cozy small town then. Everyone has a preference and weighing all options as we go helps us to decide. Ive no children or anything sadly but when my time comes Ill probably just fade into the bush.....smiles. 1
