Digger 66 3,488 #26 Posted December 28, 2019 I have broken every Kobalt ratchet I have ever touched , they sit in the drawer looking like brand new now . My favorite ratchet is ( believe it or not ) one I got at Auto Zone , it has a telescopic handle with detents and a collar that holds it to the desired length . It simply will not break when used . I have Kobalt ratchet-end box wrenches and they're holding up well . The rest of my go-to tools are American made Craftsman .
tom2p 2,394 #27 Posted December 29, 2019 (edited) we have a number of different brand ratchets - but most of our best / complete socket sets are SK (with SK ratchet) SK ratchets are strong and durable - but kinda old school / clunky however - they can be upgraded fairly easily with a SK DT kit that doubles the tooth count (and therefore reduces required arc / swing ) Edited December 29, 2019 by tom2p
