How much weight a 3 Gear Gearbox complete with hubs

Hi,

i need the gros weight of an 3 Gear Gearbox complete incl. Pulley and wheelhubs, but without Oil.

in Kilos or Lbs.

Steve if you're talkin about a regular old wheel Horse manual gearbox I can get you a weight in a couple hours

Great buddy thanks.

 

i thinkin to buy maybe on big show a Gearbox for a Project i planed😎

 

i have 30Kilos free of charge, maybe it will be heavier i guess but how much is interesting.

to calculate if it‘s worth to take it with me or maybe cheaper to send.

This is a mid 60s 3 speed.

Should weigh the same as a later model  4 speed.

 

My scale reads 88 pounds, (mostly drained).

So about 39 to 40 kg I think...

 

6 and 8 speeds will be a touch heavier because of longer axles and an extra gear/lever set up.

Stefan... I bet with your carry on luggage you might be able to split it up!  Most of us folks have tools for quick field stripping a wheel Horse at the big show!

A gear here. A shaft there. A hub or 2 over yonder.....
