Guest 88vic #27 Posted December 12, 2019 Once you mow with the other two, that stamped frame will collect dust wayyyy back in the corner of the garage. Guaranteed.
Dirtpoor 131 #28 Posted December 12, 2019 I’m needing to get some tires what is recommended. I have no clue on tractor tires 🤓

Guest 88vic #30 Posted December 12, 2019 Depends on what you want to do activity wise with them. Turf savers are fine for mowing but if you want some extra traction for pulling or if you have a hilly property, id do some ags on the back. Wheel weights and/or liquid ballast like beet juice as a added measure.

Anyone have any experience with these. 😳 Edited December 12, 2019 by Dirtpoor
Guest 88vic #32 Posted December 12, 2019 Not 100 percent sure but I think deestone had a problem with dry rotting/cracking prematurely. Grass pro also had that issue, I do know that for a fact.
oliver2-44 9,679 #33 Posted December 13, 2019 FYI, you will find the off brand tires are under size in width and height.
WVHillbilly520H 10,373 #34 Posted December 13, 2019 OTR makes a really good tire in multiple tread designs and are very close to stated sizing...https://otrwheel.com/products/

The deal also comes with snow blade and tiller. These are projects. If someone can decipher the model number for me that would be great. All of his for the low price of $500 is that to much. Thanks" Would it be possible for you to get a decent pic of the decals on the Raider 10? I have one I plan on restoring and the decals are ALL gone. troutbum70 857 #37 Posted February 5, 2020 If the tiller is good, it and the blade are worth the asking price.

Thanks pullstart but the decals are not visible enough on the top one and are not correct for mine, the bottom one does not have what I am looking for. Dirtpoor's is exactly what I have and need. I have a source for decals and some I just paint. Model 1-0360-8 S/N 0905092 Edited February 6, 2020 by D_Ram Added Image

The one labeled "1973 Raider 10 8 speed" "8 speed model # 1-0360" has the incorrect decals for the 1973 1-0360 Raider. The second one is pre 73. The 73 1-0360 decal did not say "Raider" on it. stevasaurus 22,706 #44 Posted February 28, 2020 Your 1973 Raider should have the #5086 transmission...1" axles, 4 pinion differential, 8 speed. Excellent horse!!!

(Another example I've seen is S/G engines in '68 which were spec'd as the newer style.) Where do you get your decals?

(Another example I've seen is S/G engines in '68 which were spec'd as the newer style.) Where do you get your decals? That is correct, I have had a few "mid year" tractors , these were mostly tractors that were supplied with previous year parts until they were depleted then began using the "updated" parts for the actual year model. Pond was not the only company to do this, it was common practice within multiple manufacturers including but not limited to IH on the Cub Cadets. The automotive industry often used this practice as well. In some cases the "updated" differences for a specific model were minute, it could have been anything from a badge change to a complete makeover or a crossover to a model change, as with the Raider 10 specifically the 1-0360 in 1973 had no "Raider" badge although it was still listed as the "Raider" and its sister the 1-0365 was a "No Name" and was identical. In 1974 the Raider 10 was reclassified to a "C series", with a transmission change, and kept the "Raider 10" model (1-0390), in 1975 the Raider 10 was dropped and named C-100 (1-0391). Just my 2 cents As for where I get decals, I have found a couple very good and reasonably priced suppliers for vinyl, Redo Your Horse (www.redoyourhorse.com) and The Decal Store (www.tractordecal.net) Edited February 29, 2020 by D_Ram Added info
