How performs the single stage blower in compare to two stage?

Recommended Posts

Hi, i like to ask how about the biggest difference on this both Blower Types.

i asked especially for wet heavy Snow and for blow capacity at dry snow.

on dry snow, both can be compared i guess, but how about Wet snow?

Does they both clogged same quick at wet Snow or is there a difference?

Actually i could get a single Stage blower, i can grab for cheap, but i must hurry.

Didn’t see it, because it‘s 2 h far, that’s why i had actually no Pics,

but the Guy needs until tomorrow evening my ok, that i pick it up.

As far as he know‘s it should be a Cub Cadett Attachement from later 70ies.

Single stages tend to clog much more often in wet heavy snow.

I run a 2 stage blower and rarely have any problems with it clogging the chute.

Both will throw dry fluffy snow all day long.

Snow blowers are a PITA to move around. 2 stages weigh a ton more. I run a single stage tall shoot and haven't had any issues.

Think i woul grab it,

The Hardware itself is cheaper than the Pickup cost.

I will call him later for a pickup schedule!

I was a little skeptical about the single stage I have and being able to clear my driveway.  I was proven that I was wrong when we received over 15" in the last storm. I stayed at my girlfriend's house so I didn't go home till the storm was done.

I am happy to say that I had no issues getting the driveway clear with all that snow. The 416-h handled it like a champ

Thanks for that report, i guessed it was dry Snow but it is funny to look at.

Independently, the blower was sold allready, but i thinkin maybe ... hum, 🤔

too much projects for one lifetime or too small timeline for all the projects.

😂🤪

That looks for a Ton of Fun, Fun for GT Seattime,

- like  look, he play‘s out in the Snow.. 😂

Tell what you want, i have my Fun and save my Back 👍

Out in the rural area of Iowa where I live there are rocks...... All sizes of rocks in the driveways. I use a dozer blade for normal snow on my 520H but if I have huge drifts I get the old worker horse with the rusty single stage thrower. Not a tall chute. It spreads out the snow and never clogs.

Remember I have lots of room to throw the snow...........

I have large wheels on the snow thrower so I can keep it in the snow and off of the gravel.

Thanks Doug,

i live here close to the Mountains in a Valley (about 12km far from Alps)

We had here a thing that will be as far as i know, just available here (the only place in the World with this phaenomen)

it is called Föhn, that are warm winds they com thru the mountains up from Africa.

If that Winds occurs, we had just rain, and snow season begins late,

but it was an issue, what is not every year happen the same.

The weather here vary strongly but if we had snow, we mostly had mass of.

light Winters are rare, but since last year i have my Seattime, and i enjoy 😎

Added i have to fight with blown snow, what will be brought via the Winds.

The most stops in our Driveway, because it was laying wind shielded even in the Shadow.

Sometimes it is just few cm sometimes half meter over night.

but in the driveway i have mostly at least 25-30cm of Snow, whilst blown.

Main Snowseason here is from Dec until mid of April.

Some years nearly no snow, some years like the last 3 Winters snow comes late but much of it.

Thats my reason i upgrade my Snowremoval systems, i will not longer plow by Hands.

I also thinkin of a quick removal early in the morning, before go to Work.

Here i didn‘t want to waste Time to remove Snow.
