Stormy the 1056

Pullstart

This is listed as a 1965.  I see many clues telling me it’s not... such as a 300+ series muffler, front and mid mount tach-a-matics, 8 speed transmission, (did the 65 model have that headlight lens?), larger PTO bell and belt guard, etc.  what would you attempt to label it as?

B and C-80 is gear starter, correct?  Did the Charger/Bronco come with any of these features?

It's a good looking tractor all around. But I think 65 they didn't have  foot boards and front headlights in the hood.  The foot rest are the stirrup kind. Looks like a long frame

Ok, I can see that.  So ‘68-‘69, with the addition of a later model muffler and a starter/generator?

WHX??

Looks like there is a tag under the dash for a PI. I'm thinkin modded Raider too  would have to be a very early Raider with the SG but then should have a metal tank.

6" fronts?? they look small

something off on the headlight lens

cigar lighter there

Franken horse any year  but a $300 tractor all day +  150 for the plow

Pull the trigger and go get it ! We'll check for antlers later!

Seems I’ve heard that saying... maybe last time I looked at a tractor for you!

It is a MUT, they probably were referring to the 65 different models parts were taken from. We all know that you are such a purest.    :ychain:  You probably wouldn't want to drive a modified :wh:.       :text-lol:

Why not,  :jaw:       the two year long bathroom is nearly half finished.      :laughing-rolling:

@953 nut you know me so well....  :hide:

:ROTF:

And for the record, the last bathroom project took 686 days, approximately.  I’m not sure if Excel can be off or not...  so I’m right on par!

Doesn't take much effort to take any Horse with say a blown up Tecky and drop a Kohler with a Genny in it.

I'm going with a very early model Raider 12. I've seen then with a gen-start engine before. (Thought this technically ended with the 1967 models).

I can see the unused hood stand and 3 bolts holding the front hitch on. Nicely upgraded but clearly not correct. Plastic tank is interesting..

I'd go with a Raider 12 for sure. If the motor isn't original, it'd still be a Raider regardless.

WHX??

Yes technically SG's were gone in 68. Keeping true to form tho WH may have had some motors they needed to use up on the early Raiders. Waste not want not I guess.

Let us know when you get back with it Kev right up yer alley. . Lots of parts there to make an orginal ...Yeah Richard...Pullstart owning an orginal!?!??

Well, the guy has had 5 people no-show on him and that’s just not very nice!  He’s had it for 10 years and though it’s been sitting about a month, he’s confident that it’ll fire up cold tomorrow.  It’s a 12 horse and “other than the seat, it’s all original”...  We shall see.

He’s in his 60’s Jim (not that it should matter) and his technically challenged.  His words, not mine.  His son posted the ad, it was hard enough to get through to him let alone asking for more pictures.  It’s been inside the last 10 years at least...

You found it Kevin...it is a customized 1056.  :occasion-xmas:  I was going to ask you what the diameter of the rear axles is??   The transmission is obviously not a #5053...and what shaft is the brake drum on???
