Very small snow throwers

Recommended Posts

Hello, all.
So some years ago, I came across a 1981 Toro gasoline Power Shovel. (I'll have to get a photo of it tomorrow). It's not the usual paddle wheel job, it's actually an electric shovel with an engine in it.
They seem to be quite scarce. I've yet to find another and I've had wanted ads out for nearly 5 years.

Well it's beginning to tire and I began hunting for another type. The houses I use it on have no exterior power outlets, so an electric is out of the question.

I ended up buying a 1960's Polaris Power Pole. I've yet to have it running but .. it's surely not the rig the Toro is.

I've looked high and low for a long time and never have found anything else particularly 'small' (read TINY) with a gas engine. I've tried a little Battery Electric but wasn't impressed.

Do any of you know of some other model machine, under 14", lightweight, and gas powered? Even a GOOD battery model?

3 of them. That's what he has pictured, a Polaris Power Pole

What about adding an engine to one of the small electric model snow throwers? Remove the motor and fix in a small 2 stroke engine

The Tuul Crib

What about worx? Do they make one ?

Maybe its time to propose to their makers about making one and cut you in on the pie. They have everything else battery

powered. Its not a bad idea and l have never seen one.

Are the houses you're using the blower on yours? If so, add an outlet! Might not be too difficult.

Is the photo in your first post the Toro Power Shovel? I haven't a clue what something like that would look like. How does it work? Teach a Southerner . We don't get enough snow to justify snow equipment. I know lots of people up north have had snow - it was 65 F here today!

No, they're customer houses I use it on mainly. The machine in the photos is the Power Pole. The fan wheel just spins at high rpm's and chucks the snow out the side of the housing. The toro is much different.

Not sure if anyone still makes them but I have a Weed Eater line trimmer with a single stage snow thrower attachment that I got from one of my grandpas years ago and when my other grandpa was still going out and clearing a couple walkways his 2 stroke Toro was getting too heavy to lift into the back of his truck.  I found this place that has a bunch of different electric ones from about the size of the Power Pole up to a conventional sized 24-26" walk behind in corded and battery powered that from what I remember had decent reviews https://www.snowjoe.com/collections/snow-blowers-power-shovels?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI5sLg9P-a5gIVS5yzCh1lmgvvEAAYASABEgJQnfD_BwE

How about a paddle broom attachment for weed trimmers?
