Hello everyone,  I am new to the wheel horse world and I am lucky enough to be restoring a 416-H . What fluids should I be using in the rear diff ?

10w-30 or 10w-40  motor oil.  Will take about 5 qts  Filter is Wix 51410

Hey Marc and

:WRS:

I use synthetic 10w40 so as the motor and tranny both take the same oil. Works good for me. Guys here claim the synthetic works a bit better in cold weather. Does seem to help. 

Your 416 should have the Eaton 1100 and tons of info on them here. A fairly reliable and  bullet proof unit you take care of it. I have three tractors with them in it but they do all have their own quirks.
