The drive is completely different and the older decks use blades with a 5/8" x 3/4" double-D center hole that are hard to find if not impossible. Using an older attachment on a newer tractor is not taking advantage of improvements made over time. There should a lot more decks available that are newer than your tractor than older ones. Even the last decks produced after tractor production ended will plug and play on a C-81 and if you get one using blades with a 3/4" center hole parts should never be a problem. Stepney 2,325 #3 Posted December 2, 2019 If the deck is original, then yes it 'can' work. You won't be able to use the C's original lift arm, you'll need a chain from the rock shaft to the mower lift tab. Other then that, it'll still mount up and function. The mule drive will work just as it would on a newer model deck. If your trying to use the original old style belt rigging though, I don't think that is possible.
