ebinmaine 67,712 #2 Posted November 29, 2019 Here's a few pics.. Patriot horse when I first got a plow set-up. Worked great but the engine ticks a bit. In order to save that engine I switched to the failed effort of the mongrel mixed up 1267. When Cinnamon horse was done we switched the 42" plow to it. All those tractors were fine for moving snow but the tires I use are oversized all around and I was steering into the windrow of snow all the time. Then we got a 48" plow and it was great!! Sometime this season we'll try out the monster 60" plow made by @wallfish. Believe it or not this is a 48" plow. Trina got a cool angle and it looks enormous.... 10

Sparky-(Admin) 21,350 #9 Posted November 30, 2019 Lotta nice rigs! Mine isn’t so fancy but she pushes snow like a dump truck Posted it plenty of times before...it started life as a Wheel Horse Workhorse GT1600/8 speed. Originally it had a Briggs 16 twin. I found it for sale in NY a few years ago with a Kohler Magnum 10 installed. I picked up Karl @nylyon on the way thru Brewster for the ride. Swapped out all 4 tires to something better, added cast weights and a 5 sector 48” plow. This sucker has performed almost flawlessly all these years with normal maintenance. 13 6

I do 3 flat driveways and really have no issues. I do it in lifts so during storms I do it a couple times. Tried chains and ripped up the asphalt...scratched the concrete... Benefits of this approach are: no drive damage, way more seat time exposed to the snow, wind and cold, less set up time in the fall, and did I mention way more seat time? 1 4 1
