peter lena 8,583 #1 Posted November 17, 2019 just snooping around i thought about improving my snowblower chute on my 36-42 single stage, in addition to many make it smoother features i added , i also lined the discharge chute with this , https://www.fleetfarm.com/detail/flexible-flyer-flying-carpet-blue-roll-up-sled/0000000252948, used FENDER WASHERS at any bolt mount point to hold in place. just adding a slightly oversize piece to inside the chute , and letting it find itself , where it will stay, with a smooth form fitting set was easy. i trimmed off the excess , and used the fender washer bolt mounts to hold it in place. much slicker and smoother than chute itself , makes snow discharge a non issue. i am always tweaking and looking to improve on just about any area, this just me, no offence to the diehards , pete

tom2p 2,394 #3 Posted November 17, 2019 makes sense snowmobile skis slide much better with composite / plastic skins ( or complete ski constructed of similar material )

Not sure if it's a curse or a blessing as I can't leave well enough alone and always have the urge to find ways to improve things or make them more efficient. Nice idea for the chute!

peter lena 8,583 #8 Posted November 17, 2019 cafoose, that seal flex will not have the slick finish that the snow slide has , as i just put it in place , inside the snow chute , it just easily found itself, with a very smooth curved arc inside the chute. mine is also red in color , i will get a few pictures to show effect. dr frankensnow.
