ebinmaine 67,292 #8 Posted November 17, 2019 Correct. The long one bypasses the horizontal lever that the chain attaches to, and the chain. You can leave the chain and horizontal in place for the winter if you want to use it for a mower next year. Tie it up out of the way or whatever.
