N875ED 98 #1 Posted November 9, 2019 I am installing the snowblower on my 312-8 for the first time (first time for me...they were bought both together last July). Why is the belt hitting the right front axle? Thanks!
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,033 #2 Posted November 9, 2019 This manual may not match your exact model but belt routing is the same. There is no idler pulley contact on the upper span of belt between the motor and the snowthrower. Move the flat idler down so it is under the bottom span of belt. peter lena 8,583 #3 Posted November 9, 2019 N875ED , here is your picture , second row down first picture on left ,https://www.google.com/search?sxsrf=ACYBGNQIuA_3-uYvAzPTq1EHiUv9gkSEuw:1573325446929&q=picture+of+wheel+horse+snowblower+belt+routing&tbm=isch&source=hp&sxsrf=ACYBGNQIuA_3-uYvAzPTq1EHiUv9gkSEuw:1573325446929&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiEmYWD5t3lAhUEmeAKHRzcBfcQsAR6BAgGEAE&biw=1024&bih=625#imgrc=_ the top belt return should be free with no pulley involved till at the blower , use a lever on top of spring pully mount frame to tension it for belt mount , pete
peter lena 8,583 #4 Posted November 9, 2019 make sure you thoroughly oil soak the blower chain drive to auger set up , it should spin easily , lubricate any related movement point . pete
