12Horse Paladin   1,038 #1 Posted November 9, 2019 (edited) Morning, Everyone.😊 After making space for my new arrival out in the garage yesterday, i've a few questions. Is there a place where i can get a paper owners manual, cheaply? I'm sure itll get used/dirty, as i go over things... Is there anyplace (ive checked youtube) that shows how to remove the snowblower? A video would be preferred, but even if i had a schematic, that would probably do. Also along the same lines...i have a spare plow i am planning on running...but it is a manually operated one, and i kno nothing of such things yet...will i be able to adapt it, or use it as is, and still have use of the lift? I have no idea how these are hooked up (for use with the hydraulics)... Currently the tractor wears rear (turf) tires that are 2" wider than spec. Is this ok, being a hydro, or will it cause undue wear and tear, or anything? I'm learning as i go; thanks for the help with my admittedly odd questions. As i side note, ive sensed realized the ignition has been upgraded and uses points and condenser...what is the purpose and advantage to this? Just curious if the old system was flawed, or whatever... If you wish to have down pressure, you can replace the chain linkage on the plow with a solid lift link. You all have a good day....  The breakerless system that it used wasn't used for very long and parts are difficult to find and usually fairly expensive. I know of some people that are still using the system and it's fine as long as its working.  People switch to points because they're cheap as dirt and simple. If something goes wrong, replacing the entire ignition system costs less than $30. The main advantage is serviceability. 3 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I want to use the hydraulics to lift, and what you say about down pressure, from what little i know, sounds good, too...thankyou! I just didnt know if i needed a whole different plow to utilize my hydraulics...  And you are exactly correct about what the size was. They are Armstrong ultra trac tires. This way you can drive the tractor right over the plow. Next attach the plow to the rear mount.  Next connect to the lift link, pay no attention to the lift bar for the mower deck I have a solid link bar on mine, this allows me to have down pressure. I if you use chain to attach to the lift the only down pressure you will have is the weight of the plow.  Install the release wire and pivot arm.  Ready to plow!!  A relativity simple installation. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
