N875ED 98 #1 Posted November 6, 2019 My local Toro dealer asks if I would be interested in purchasing a new pair of wheel weights, still in the boxes. What do you think they are worth?
SylvanLakeWH 25,493 #2 Posted November 6, 2019 Nice! $100+ all day long for well used ones around here... without the mounting hardware...
Pullstart 62,800 #3 Posted November 6, 2019 $1 per pound
The Tuul Crib 7,336 #4 Posted November 6, 2019 I have a pair really similar to these that I paid 50 bucks for on CL. 110 lbs total
Herder 2,354 #5 Posted November 7, 2019 Sometimes you buy things just so you can say you have them. Unused wheel weights are hard to find. And I agree a buck a pound is a going rate for most used ones.
Razorback 1,035 #6 Posted November 7, 2019 Those are the same weights I had on my Craftsman GT6000 (With a Craftsman logo in the center.) I would think $1/pound is reasonable.
oliver2-44 9,696 #7 Posted November 7, 2019 Remember cast steel weights are worth more than concrete filled plastic ones.
N875ED 98 #8 Posted November 7, 2019 The Toro dealer was going to scrap them, I think, (the shipping label on both very dusty boxes showed they were received in 2009) and he said "Make me an offer". I bought the pair from him yesterday for $40...he probably would have taken $20 but I have some degree of fairness! 1
