I got both the 800 and the 855 set up with the plows now. Last things to do yet are I want to fluid fill the tires, and get chains on.

The I have the Craftsman/MTD walk behind blower to sort out. I nursed it through last year, but I think it's gonna need a carb this time.

I have a short frame plow on the 877 I just posted a picture of and it even has a 48" plow blade. No problem and enough clearance. Does being a 10hp tractor make a difference in overall length?

20191103_180132.jpg.cd700cf1d1f7a3b31441e9d91c85919c.jpgGot the wheel weights and rear axle mount installed today...was denied getting the plow mounted up though. Seems this mid sixties plow frame is a bit too short to enable the plow to pivot left and right without hitting the front wheels. Wondering if that has something to do with this being a hydro tractor? Pump mounted forward of the rear diff? Seems the plow frame is about 6-8" too short in length...about the same amount of space that pump takes up. :confusion-shrug:20191103_180132.jpg.cd700cf1d1f7a3b31441e9d91c85919c.jpg

Measure your hood length. I don't think the trans matters. Remember the 1267 (Skonkfest) took the long frame plow. My 867 took the short plow. 10 HP  tractors may be longer .

Craig, try fitting the plow off your C175. Bet it will work.

Was a little late since we got our first snow last week, and may not get another one anytime soon. But the 753 will have a plow mounted on it hopefully sometime this week just in case. Hoping we do get some more as I really want to get some seat time plowing snow this winter

The Tuul Crib

Snow  doesn't  even  exist here!

I use my blade to push dirt!  I wouldn't even know what to use a snow blower for !

I'm sure it's the same thing you have being a short frame.

That frame is off one of your Commando's right. Then it's a shortie.:)

That's correct!

wheel base is 41" on that tractor and the 877

wheel base on Craig's 1076 is 45.5"

The plan is to have both our “normal” snow machines ready to go. In spite of all this snow, I still have set either one up yet.

Momma’s “BIG RED” gets the deuce, chains, and 150# of hitch ballast...

This one gets the action when the snow is deeper than 6” or is lighter and fluffy...

As I’ve mentioned in the past, it has no problem launching the white stuff over 60’ when working with the wind.  In the above pic, that 12’ tall tree under the “rooster tail” is about 30’ from the tractor!

If the sbow is less than 6” or particularly wet, we use the diesel cub with the 60” hydraulic tilt blade.  I won’t run AG’s on it this year as over the summer I acquired a spare set of turfs.

Those will permanently get my 2-link V-bar chains.  I have 2 96# tractor suitcase weights that can go in the custom rear bracket if needed.

These are our normal snow movers. Now that Zach and I have Blackbeard repowered... I’m excited to try him out on blower duty.  He came with the original snow blower that was purchased new with him.  It has been patiently waiting along the shop wall for about 3.5 years.

In the next week or so, Zach and I will pull it out, clean it up, assess any needed replacement parts, paint it up, and install...

i even acquired a Cat-O weight box this summer in a trade for a different machine that will work excellent on here for ballast. I just need to make up a set of “long chains” for the tall tires!
