Trailblazer 7, part--collar--help

Recommended Posts

12Horse Paladin

Thought i'd post this as a seperate topic...

Having gone through my Trailblazer 7 this last yr, for her maiden 1st season with me, and doing a partial paint resto---to be done next yr---here i am.

And what i cant figure out is where this 'collar' goes, exactly? I know it goes on the clutch rod, but where? It was riding at the bottom, loose, when i got this beast...the ACE baggie in the pic held the missing set screw i bought, lol.

i have an old owners manual, but other than the schematic,  it does not show exactly where it goes.

Any help or insight, i'd sure appreciate it!spacer.png

Its been several years since I had one of these units,  but I don't remember the beginning a locking collar on the clutch rod. I had and used both a Trailblazer 5 and 7. Are you sure it was from that?

Just a guess but shows up for a few models.

May have something to do with the eyebolt.

Found this on page 2 which is slightly different but suspect the design changed. Looks like a nut on this one limits the rod travel when it hits the eyebolt. Collar would do the same thing.
