Stormin 9,981 #2 Posted October 23, 2019 That's brilliant! Be interesting to see how the front tractors are controlled. Everything else will just follow them.

c-series don 8,663 #7 Posted October 24, 2019 I really need to know more about this whole set up. Steering, motion control etc. Is there anymore pictures? It’s very cool!

The reins have to be hooked up to the front spindles. Two front tractors towing everything else. Set the speed in low gear and climb on. May see a wire or string going back to kill switches on them. Plus, she has a shotgun just in case.
AMC RULES 37,127 #9 Posted October 24, 2019 Says only one tractor is doing all the work. Other three are in neutral. Also, is saying the steering for all four tractors is pretty complicated.

PeacemakerJack 10,738 #11 Posted October 24, 2019 Great post and pics Craig—thanks for sharing. What a cool setup and very much in keeping with the Horse theme that owned throughout the 60-70’s!!!! Ever the car guy, I noticed the Chevy Nova in the background of the first picture. However, on my phone I can’t tell what the car is in the background of the first pic. Can any of our resident car experts identify?

Also, is saying the steering for all four tractors is pretty complicated. I don‘t think so, complication is part of description or how it beeing solved. The frontaxles and the Tails of the both first tractors must be fixed coupled by link’s. With modern technic, the Throttle can be regulated by a small RC Remote, where 2 combined by y cables Servos acting as Throttle pedals on the both first Tractors. sycronize both Engines will be the highest Challenge in this Scenario. While hidden implemented, you wasn‘t be able to see how it works in real and one of the Steeringwheel will be interconnected by the tension cord‘s. also the Clutch can maybe be solved by 2 Y interconnected Powerservos or Winches, how they beeing used in RC Sailships i.eg. A real realistic Drive will be imagine as the Result. like this Idea.👍

I see tail lights of one and the roofline of another. Judging by the roof line, I'm going to guess it's around a '74 Ford LTD 4 door. I don't have any clue what the other is - the tail lights almost look like later 70s or even 80s, which wouldn't fit in with the timeline of the photo. hcminis 1,555 #20 Posted October 26, 2019 1 minute ago, AMC RULES said: @hcminis Please share your score... here on DJ. I definitely will. My plan is to update and add some more detail to the coach. The frame is an actual Wheel Horse 4-Wheel wagon. I plan to try and preserve that and possibly add real style wagon wheels. Not sure if the 4-wheel wagon is included yet This is what current owner explained to me: Tractors aren't the problem. There should be enough interest at any show for attendees to let their tractors to be used. Setup could be the day before. The right front unit needs to be a hydro with the shift lever on the left. Others just need to be stick shift with same frame length side by side. The real issue is the building of the coach. It was on a Wheel Horse 4-wheel wagon, but I would recommend that the replacement be a little larger and with different wheels.
