See I can tell that you are a real mechanic because your tools are nice and neat and organized. While the tools in my shade tree mechanic shop are scattered all over a country mile.  :D

The Tuul Crib

It takes me 10 minutes to dig for a socket to fit. Then when I pick one up it's metric there goes another 10 minutes !!

Looks good Bryce.

It's a great lives rule to have a place for everything and have everything in its place.

I don't follow it a lot of the time. I'm just saying it's a great rule.:D

I think the US General boxes are great! Harbor Freight sells a lot of sub-standard tools (in my opinion anyway) but their tool boxes are one of the exceptions.
  This is mine...

That’s the exact box I’m going to get when tax time rolls around.

On a side note, I love that sign you’ve got hanging above it, that’s one I’ve never seen before

WHX??

Tom @Shynon has got a great setup in his shop with the HF lower boxes. He pulled the wheels off and built a toe kick under them. Then incorporated them into a work bench. Really good idea and I plan to follow suit someday as usually nothing but junk accumulates under the bench anyway. A pic Tom?

True on the HF tools Sparkeye and just barely ok enough for the hobbyist and cheap... leaves more $$ for tractors!

HF has some decent tool box shelf liner - similar to Grip-it tool box liner - but better price

I've also used cheap/inexpensive yoga mat material for lower / larger / deeper drawers

Anythings gotta be better than the crap I got Tom. Think this was Craftman stuff. Even tried hot gluing it in place with no luck.

wait - that stuff looks similar to the Grip-it stuff mesh type liner - but it doesn't look as dense

hmmm

HF also has another type of liner

This new box came with precut drawer liners already installed...my old red one I lined them with non slip cabinet and drawer liner I bought out of the housewares section in WalMart. It also wanted to bunch up at first, so I sprayed the drawers with spray adhesive then pressed it in place, worked pretty good after that

I wonder how spray on bed liner would work as a tool box liner/

May need to try some day.

wife found work bench someone was throwing out

transformed it into a small tool chest

ideal for storage of small power tools, hammers, crow bars, tire irons, etc.

I guess I could stand either more tool box drawers or make use of hanging stuff on the wall!

JERSEYHAWG / Glenn

Very nice upgrade. I got a new box myself last year. I will post some pictures of new tool draw organizers I got made/sold by veterans. They sure free up a lot of draw space for more tools. I think there called TOOLBOX WIDGETS...

I hear you on the upgrade. I had two smaller boxes and wanted a bigger one. I was debating between harbor freight  ew box or used Mac or Snap On. Found this nice Mac box for a few bucks more than new harbor freight.

pa I like that wrench organizer too!

I picked that up Monday at HF as well. Best 14 dollars I’ve spent in a while. I like the fact that it’s two separate pieces I can move as needed to make everything fit, and the magnetic base keeps it in place even with my drawer liners in place

thought yinz guyz might find this of interest

was checking out some tools and tool chests and ran into a guy that was a Snap On tool guy ...

we were discussing tool boxes and chests etc - old and current - and he was really high on the US General boxes / chests
