Understand that an FEL with out power steering is a real work. The fel is a Ferguson one from the 40s. No notion if its original to that tractor or not... I can't remember if he put that on there or if it was something he bought after the tractor. Pretty sure it was there when he got it. But that's all OEM. He's 70 + and not super strong and he can steer it so I should be able to handle the steering. Edited October 23, 2019 by ebinmaine
Stormin 9,981 #27 Posted October 23, 2019 I love that cab. The pole on the FEL looks like one for lifting round bales. The 3pt should be pretty strong enough. You can fit a two furrow plough on it. And one of those is heavy, believe me. A transport box would be a handy addition. Steering wise they are easy.

The pole could certainly be used for moving bales. In actuality it is for moving rolls of carpet and vinyl. His plan is to change it to his other tractor. Stormin 9,981 #37 Posted November 4, 2019 Just noticed it's no mudguards/fenders. See if you can find some Eric. It's been known for people to get dragged off tractors without any.

It's still sitting 150 miles away. This weekend though..... 1 hour ago, Stormin said: Just noticed it's no mudguards/fenders. See if you can find some Eric. I'll hunt around a bit locally and see what pops up.
8ntruck 6,998 #39 Posted December 24, 2019 I think the manual for the 8N said that the 3 point should hold a Ford 2 bottom plow in the air overnight. If not, there is something internally off in the hydraulic system. Worn pump, bad pump gasket, worn valve, or worm piston/cylinder. These systems are not too hard to work on.

The framework comes all the way out between the tires to the rear axle.
