Wheel Horse C-120 automatic model #

Recommended Posts

Hello Members I just joined Red Square wheel horse and need some help with my c-120 auto.. I want to find and download a service manual, parts manual and owners manuals. Toro Wheel Horse needs a 5 digit model number to access the files but  the previous owner removed this one so I don't have it. I was wondering if one of you guys would give me a model number to use if you have one of these machines, I would really appreciate it. Thank you,

Don

Welcome you can find manuals here. on red square in the manuals section.  This is a link to a C0120 Auto for 1974.  They were made for three years but not much changed.

Hey @Don Byrd, you made it!  Hopefully you’ll be able to find what you need here with the manuals on the site.  :text-welcomewave:

Fellas I have a feeling from emailing with Don that he might need assistance with the tow valve on his tractor.  I don’t think I have the same auto trans on any of mine so any help and assistance he’d greatly appreciate.  The engine runs great but the motion control doesn’t do anything to get him moving.

I forgot to mention on email, if the trans fluid is red, keep to ATF for good.  If it’s amber/brown, stick with 10W30 motor oil whenever you do fluid and filter changes.  They used both from the factory but they shouldn’t be mixed.

Do you turn it until it stops?

1974 1-0490 (as you have a Kohler Techy engine was different model)

1975  1-0491

1976   61-12KS01  also ending in S02 S03 S04

1977  71-12KS01   and S02

I think this may be a 1979 C-121 Auto.

Post all the numbers off the engine data decal including the serial number.

What is in this circle in your photo - just below the dash panel?

The larger dash tower looks like the 1978-1979 C series to me.

This 1979 service manual is appropriate for your tractor. I'm thinking your model name will be C-121 Automatic and model number will be 91-12KS01. Click on the picture.

I received this email from Don last night.  I think we done good!

I got lots of replies to my post about manuals and even dowloaded a parts manual.I know for sure I need a headlight lens #103771, and a clutch brake #104730 and a lower steering shaft bushing # 637. No hurry tho, I have plenty time to locate them. The tow valve did the trick,it screws in and out instead of pushing. I drove it around the house, I like it a lot. Thanks again for all your help. Don
