richmondred01 2,237 #1 Posted October 15, 2019 I installed toro part #119840 BLOCK SPACER over the weekend. I never used one on any of my horses until the 520-8. As a unintended, but good consequence, my blade now lifts and additional 1” higher then without the blocks. Has anyone else had this experience?
ebinmaine 67,288 #2 Posted October 15, 2019 Can't say as I've seen that but it's a heck of an idea!
richmondred01 2,237 #3 Posted October 15, 2019 That extra inch made a big difference backing it into the shed. My blade no longer scrapes the pavement when backing up the ramp. 1
oliver2-44 9,696 #4 Posted October 15, 2019 That additional blade height would be useful to me Would you share the size of those blocks. Thanks

Lee1977 6,647 #6 Posted October 15, 2019 (edited) Just looking at the first picture I would say they are 1" x 1 1/2". You can make them out of thinner steel and stack them. Edited October 15, 2019 by Lee1977

cleat 5,812 #9 Posted October 15, 2019 (edited) I had to make up spacers for mine so the blade frame would not bind right under the rear axle when lifting. Blade tries to hit the drain plug and rub in this area. Spacer made everything better. Easy to make if you can find some scraps of thick metal and have a drill press. This is the plan for mine Rear hitch plate.pdf These are also used for the top on the rear receiver hitch and for the rear Tach mount.
