Picked it up and brought her home.
My uncle saw the ad on CL for free curbside pickup of this and it was about 2 miles from our house. He texted me thinking it was me giving away tractors. Lol. As luck would have it my son had the trailer and his pickup at work delivering a wood stove to his boss and picking Up his snowblower to fix. I stopped on my way home to see if it was still there and it was I spoke to the owner who bought it 10 yrs ago as a spare tractor at a garage sale in Florida NY. About 15 min away. He told me he used it to pull his cub cadet back to the house when it broke down. 😂

My son had to work late but Er got it back home for assessment.
Lots of notes from the original owner under the seat. I’ll dig in after work tomorrow.

Love those little Kohler 8s.

Change out the seat tape and add some air to the front tire. You'll be golden.

Lemme know if you need anything....

Excellent find there!!!!

Thanks Eric! I’m not sure I can keep up with this. Lol. We just got the Jacobson Sat and it’s all good just needs correct front tires and rims. I thought between that and the Massey my luck had run out for awhile. Then this beauty falls into my lap! I can’t wait to dig in.
I did give the owner $10 so I don’t feel like I stole it. 😁

I've heard that song quite a good many times over the years. I have an uncle who is a country singer.

He does a fantastic version of that.

They are cute and all. Theses little critters

can do some damage too. They cost me two hundred bucks on my wifes car .

They chewed into a gas line on my wifes

new honda!

Yeah. They are adorable. But the damage to the walls and the insulation in my workshop shed was not.

We have several different modes of chipmunk population reduction.

I too keep their population in check( chipmunks not tractors) as do the neighborhood cats. 😉

Anyway. It runs. I haven’t cleaned out the carb just some new fuel line, battery and new fuel filter. The head gasket is blown and the outlet of the plastic fuel pump is broken off but rigged up to work, but it runs and drives. No knocks or rattles. I was able to clean up the beads and reseat the front tires. I got the deck off and the blades look brand new.M but the tensioner bar and idler pulley look like a rusty mess.i don’t think the deck has been off in years.

The mule drive has cast pulleys with replaceable bearings so that’s worth $10 to me alone. 😂

Now I have to decide which tractor stays out in the rain tmw. 😲☹️

Tough call. All of them are huge cool.

I guess it's time for you to build a two layer Shelf.

I’m going to have to rearrange the garage again.
The Jacobson loses. 😁 That one is my sons and his Quad and WH are already out in the cold. (I’ll cover it with a tarp). The Massey & my Wheelhorses are staying in my stable until I can free up some space.

We’re going to the Fall harvest show at Jacktown Sat and I hope to find some small stuff.

I couldn't sing that properly if I had to.. I can't talk nearly that fast. I've always been more into classic rock, but here in the last year or two I've gotten more into old country. There's a lot to like and it's a shame that the vast majority of them are dead now.. Leroy is 90 years old but I believe he's still performing. I believe he was 80 or so in the clip I posted.

As far as deciding which ones stay outside, I vote for a 40x60 shop! That'll allow for many, many more Horses to follow you home!

Off topic, but as of today (or yesterday now I suppose) I've been here for a year! Doesn't seem like that long.

Found a temporary shift knob.
Purchased from a mower shop 15 min away. They’re still in business.

I noticed you have a different dash on yours, mine has no provisions for an electric clutch or head light switch. I believe mine is a 71 although I have not verified that. Any way it was a super find for you.

The dash and key switch have me scratching my head also. From what I understand the 800 was an “economy” model. I’m not even sure they offered an electric clutch on them.  The key switch has an ACC position. It’s an extra click to turn off. It gets me every time I shut off the tractor. It has more features on the dash then my 78 c101. Lol. No ammeter though. Weird. Maybe this was the last one built and they ran out of dashes.
The plastic is warped though. The voltage regulator must’ve gotten super hot at one point and it melted the center of the dash.
Is your number plate on the side of the dash tower  or under the dash? My engine was made in 72.
