Mudrig150 298 #1 Posted October 14, 2019 Cleaning out our old corn bus to make it into tire storage, because we need a good bus that my pap can climb up into, and this fit the bill. I went up, climbed in through the back door of the bus, and went to work clearing out around the front door. After much corn moving and tugging at it...huzzah! The door opens and closes now. In the time I was up at the farm, I managed to take out 3 skid loader buckets of corn. That's a lot. Pics are of current progress. Still got 7-10 bucket loads to go. 2

The Tuul Crib 7,336 #3 Posted October 14, 2019 Grind them up and makes good bedding for the animals. Oh and I think pigs eat it too! And actually growing up on the farm if we didn't have toilet paper we used ...... 2
ohiofarmer 3,265 #4 Posted October 14, 2019 Those ears look to be very long. You must have had a great 2018 crop yield. We had the best bean yield last year . Not so this year. Tool Crib, what we did was first use a red corn cob, then a white corn cob to see if we needed another red one....
Stormin 9,981 #5 Posted October 14, 2019 I've never had corn on the cob. After reading what you lads used it for, I don't think I ever will.
CasualObserver 3,408 #6 Posted October 14, 2019 Did someone say corn on the cob? @Mudrig150 Having been born and raised in the corn belt... I'm at a complete loss as to why you have an old school bus stuffed with empty cobs? Inventory for a corncob pipe making operation? What was the purpose... or intended purpose? 1
bc.gold 3,403 #7 Posted October 15, 2019 Does that three sped bicycle have the Sturmey Archer hub which is a desirable collectable item however it's possible you could find a buyer for the whole bicycle. I see a table saw in the rear of the bus does this make it a CARPENTER BODY

They are long, yes, but they are pretty small. 14 hours ago, CasualObserver said: Did someone say corn on the cob? @Mudrig150 Having been born and raised in the corn belt... It was going to be ground up for cattle feed many many years ago, it got left in the bus because we started just leaving it in the gravity flows, and this stuff all dried up and rotted. 10 hours ago, bcgold said: Does that three sped bicycle have the Sturmey Archer hub which is a desirable collectable item however it's possible you could find a buyer for the whole bicycle. Chain is rusted to the sprocket.
Mudrig150 298 #9 Posted October 15, 2019 Bus is all cleaned up. Threw a few sets of tires in it. I'll get pictures of how badly the back is rotted out. It was fertilizer storage for years, floor started going so we put a pallet over the hole, now the whole back is rotted off, the door has no floor lock anymore and is floating above nothing, and the whole frame rail rusted off, so the whole floor caved in. It's bad.
