bc.gold 3,403 #1 Posted October 13, 2019 (edited) We have our first snow fall and my tractor runs cold on one cylinder pulled the plug then grounded for observation. Plenty of spark but its dancing around so much you'd think it was on a merry go round. Does anyone know the proper plug numbers for a CCKB Onan. On a side note been doing a bit of work on the VG4D Wisconsin, no compression on three cylinders. Removed the heads and found three exhaust valves stuck open. gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,033 #2 Posted October 13, 2019 Found a Simplicity manual for the CCKB and it shows a H-8 Champion plug gapped at .025". Not an engine Wheel Horse used. Seafoam packaged as a penetrating oil is named Deep Creep and it does. The old Gravely T-head engines have a habit of seizing the exhaust valve while running. A steady diet of Marvel Mystery oil in the fuel eliminates that problem but will not free a stuck valve. Garry 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Garry My Simplicity 9020 and an Allis 720 I have both use the Onan and both engines had the wrong spark plug, thanks for posting the the number for the correct plug. All the valves on the Wisconsin VG4D are now free, in addition to penetrating oil used a bit of heat on the valve head to expand the valve stem a bit my theory was on cooling and shrinking back to size would help to draw in a bit of oil.
