skrusins 128 #1 Posted October 9, 2019 (edited) A friend of mine has a D200 as it's being used it starts to loose pulling and pushing power. I don't know much about D series trans to help him. He did changed fluid, but didn't make a difference. Anything else I could tell him to help. Thanks Sorry should have placed this in Transmissions and Transaxle Edited October 9, 2019 by skrusins Wrong Placement
pfrederi 17,879 #2 Posted October 9, 2019 Probably internal wear... download this manual
daveoman1966 3,762 #3 Posted October 9, 2019 What you describe is classic symptoms of internal wear and the only resolution is to refurbish the internal parts in BOTH the hyd PUMP and the Hyd MOTOR (bolted to the transaxle). Internal brass components of each (pump & motor) are soft and get scored over the years from contaminated fluid (oil or ATF) common to both. While apart, its a good time to replace the 40+ year-old seals of the pump. Download the manual as suggested. The overhaul process isn't difficult... just be meticulous and keep parts CLEAN during reassembly using liberal amounts of engine assembly oil. I have rebuilt lots of these and can offer some help if needed.
