Belts

Looking for feedback on belts.

I've used Wheel Horse OEM belts for years with great success - they've performed well and very durable.

However - recently - have run across 'Wheel Horse OEM' belts that do not perform as well as the earlier Wheel Horse OEM belts.  The appearance is a tad different - they don't appear to molded / wrapped belts like the earlier OEM belts.  And the durability is not there.

Some of the other options include the red Rotary belts and blue Stens TrueBlue belts - both which might be constructed with aramid / Kevlar and are supposed to be molded / wrapped.  Gates might also have a similar belt ? ( green in color ?).

Thank you in advance.

Stens Trueblue are perfectly good belts. Also comes in OEM sizes if you have that need.

I've run older OEM, Gates green, and Stens blue with great success.

Others use belts from TSC and find them fine and white Dayco brand but I haven't had good luck there.

I've used quite a few blue belts from tractor supply and haven't had a problem with them on my horses. I had some on my Montgomery ward however and it liked to eat the wrapped kevlar belts and so I had to use rubber belts on it, but that is the only tractor I have had trouble with the wrapped belts on.

I acquired and compared some belts.

OEM Toro / Wheel Horse

At one time OEM belts were the way to go - but now this is not always the case.

The 'OEM' Toro belts that appear to be lower quality are not molded / wrapped belts and have name and part number printed in white on the belt.  Made in Mexico.

The better quality - true OEM belts are molded / wrapped and have Wheel Horse and the part number stamped in the belt.

Stens True Blue

Molded / wrapped and appears to be a quality belt.

Listed as 'Made in USA' - but the belt I received was made in India.

I remember something back in the day about Japan ? naming a town Usa, hence made in USA. Not sure if that was true or not. Maybe India did the same thing.
