tom2p 2,394 #1 Posted October 8, 2019 Hello - New member from PA - just north of Pittsburgh. I found this great site this summer - and finally joined. I've been a Wheel Horse junkie since the early / mid 70's when we got a 704 - and have used only Wheel Horse since then to date. I consider Wheel Horse tractors to be among the best engineered and dependable machines ever produced. Still have the 704 - but it has not been used in some time. Hope to get it going again in the near future. Also have a 1963 model - I believe it is a 753. It is buried in the garage (keeping the 704 company). The tractors we currently use are a 312-8 and two 416-H. 11

ZXT 2,401 #9 Posted October 8, 2019 Glad to have you here! That's a very nice looking fleet of tractors. Any photos of your others? They certainly don't have to be recent!

tom2p 2,394 #19 Posted October 9, 2019 Unfortunately no pics of the 753 and 704 - both currently buried toward the back of the garage. All five tractors are stored in the garage - along with some mower decks, snow blades, mounted tires ... and a bunch of other stuff including snowmobile ... motorcycles ... zillion bicycles ... work benches ... tool chests ... fit together like a puzzle

tom2p 2,394 #21 Posted October 9, 2019 Hope to get the 704 running in the near future. That one puts a smile on my face for sure. Found another deck for it around 15 years ago - it was buried under a bunch of parts in a loft of a small service station / repair shop in Slippery Rock PA (that was leveled to make way for a Sheetz). Acquired the 753 not long after that. It was advertised for sale along with a snow plow. I was primarily interested in the plow. But someone else outbid me and that was that. Or so I thought. Weeks later got a call from the owner - the sale fell through and they said I could have it. For free - everything. Brought it home - put it in the garage - and have not touched it since then. Kids have kept me busy with their activities and sports - so I barely had time to cut the grass, etc. until just recently.

Have some current bikes - and a few oldies including couple of Sting Rays - some vintage BMX bikes - and a BSA WWII folding paratrooper bike. tom2p 2,394 #23 Posted October 9, 2019 (edited) We had a small BMX track in the back - kid then converted to RC track. He lowered the deck/blades of the 312 to make the outline of the track (grrrrr lol). Edited October 9, 2019 by tom2p
