Machria 78 #1 Posted October 4, 2019 (edited) So where can we get tires for a GT14? My tractor has the original tires on it, and they are looking pretty bad, lots of cracks in the sides.. getting dried out. I'd like to replace them before I have a flat in a bad place..... thanks! Oh, the rear tires are 27 x 9.5 x 15. Edited October 4, 2019 by Machria

PeacemakerJack 10,743 #7 Posted October 5, 2019 Also keep in mind the ever growing ATV/UTV market. Lots of options there if you can find a tread pattern that suits you. Check out the awesome tires on the rear of @19richie66‘s GT-14... These are ATV tires! Super cool looking and versatile. Another option if you don’t care about looks but need something cheap and easy for the short term... These are p195/75/15. I would go with a 205 or even a 215 for the wider GT-14 rim. Again just some thoughts to mix into the mental “soup”...

They look like they would work, I need something that will last, and work in the snow. I only use my GT14 for snow blowing and as a mule to haul firewood around my yard. Machria 78 #11 Posted October 8, 2019 Are 27 x 9 x 15 larger (aka taller) tires than 27 x 9.5 x 15 tires? I always forget what each # means other than the rim size. the second # is the ratio of width to height or something...?

The middle number is width, but some manufacturer build there tires small and others might actually be taller than stated. It's best to ask about specific tires to see if anyone else is running them. They are 26-11x15 maxxis ceros radials. Not cheap but very grippy. Wouldn’t know about snow as we have none here in Florida. I plan on using thier 27-9.50x15 on my wife’s 1054. Those in the pic were $150 each but were bought for something else that never materialized. They are right at home where they are though.
