Stepney 2,325 #1 Posted September 23, 2019 Hello, all. Bought a really rough 1988 516h yesterday.. expecting it to be junk. Pleasantly surprised that it's abandonment was due to a faulty connection, and it actually runs and drives great. This has the Eaton 700 hydro. It has been sitting with the seat up for years in the woods. I know the trans axle housing is drained by a screw on the bottom of the case like every WH. But I'd like to flush the Eaton itself. I've found tons of mention on the topic, but nothing 'solid'. Some mention a left hand plastic cab on the bottom, some mention something on the side of the case, others speak of a metal plug.. I have a good 1100 kicking around but this 700 seems to work good so far so I'd like to keep it going however long I can. All the posts I found were quite old and generally not 'the end of the story'. So.. is it possible to drain this thing?
