Pullstart 62,792 #1 Posted September 21, 2019 The Rhine is in every photograph you take! We had a layover in Munich (Munchen) this morning, then headed to Amsterdam for our final destination. Tonight, dinner. And some drinks. Now, we’ll sleep. Traveling overseas yields you a 2 hour nap which you call “night” and you must adapt, hit the ground running, Tomorrow we’ll eat breakfast, check out of the ‘Hotel Levell’ and head to Duisburg area to see our Jil”s family! I’m amazed at the water way systems in The Netherlands, what a clever way to keep every field happy and healthy! 12 4 1

There are 8 adults traveling, soon 9 when Jil heads to Oktoberfest with us! It’s a Ford Tourney with a diesel (non-turbo) and 6 speed manual. 3 rows of 3 seats, the middle is facing rearward! 2

Tractorhead 9,064 #14 Posted September 23, 2019 We maybe have shorter Feets.. I know this , because before it was just Storage. You can sometimes seeing here, especial in older Houses, where the upper floor was later expanded as rooms.
Pullstart 62,792 #15 Posted September 24, 2019 Yesterday we visited Köln, a familiar place. After walking around the Cathedral, we revisited the site that I gave my wife a 10 year anniversary wedding ring 2 years back. Then off to an indoor ski area. What a great idea! The Cathedral was originally started in 1248, took well over 200 years to complete and had to be entirely rebuilt after the war. They were built so tall in that time to be a central focal point for travelers to find church service or the city for food and rest. We have climbed the staircase to the top before, such magnificent sights to see in every direction! 1 5
Pullstart 62,792 #16 Posted September 25, 2019 We are in Starnberg, somewhere very close to our buddy Stefan @Tractorhead! I drove 180 kilometers per hour today in that beast of a van, 111.85 miles per hour!

Tractorhead 9,064 #23 Posted September 26, 2019 It seems, you where in Wolfgang Fierecks Harley Store.. Dashing outfit you‘re wear. 👍 But one thing doesn‘t fit Buddy, you have the wrong Beer. Octoberfest was strong beer Time.. 😎 but i will Accept..😂😉 yes you‘re right, we flee for the madness of Octoberfest. We have it each year since i was a Boy. Most time, we enjoyed it, but in the last 10 years, it changes dramatically it‘s face. The Octoberfest wasn‘t the Octoberfest as i knew it before. if you spent another Visit, take a look to the „old Wies’n“ There can be felt the Spirit of the Old Octoberfest a bit more. The foundation of it was the Marriage of King Ludwig the 1. and Princess Therese from Saxony in 1810 on a meadow outside the City. meadow in German is Wies‘n and as a honor to Princess Therese it would called from now on Theresienwiesn. King Ludwig 1. and his Terese are Invited all the People, to come and celebrate their Wedding together. it shall be a celebration, everybody can visit independent if rich or poor. That was the History behind. 1
