Stepney 2,325 #1 Posted September 19, 2019 Hello, all. Working on redoing a 42"SD from a 1985 312-8. Like most all WH decks, it has the sliding bar for the spindle belt tension that rides on a pair of plastic washers. Somehow, the tension bar has grown legs.. really need to get this one going for leaf season. I know my 48" deck bar is too big. But does anyone know if a 36RD piece would fit? . I know where I can grab a cheap parts deck, but it's a bit of a ride if it's not going to work. It looks to be 80s era by the tags, but it has no readable numbers. lynnmor 7,302 #2 Posted September 19, 2019 Those bars wear pretty fast, so I would just pay up and buy new with new washers.
